T&M FAQ’s
Things are certainly a little different on this site, especially if you remember its first iteration. Hopefully this small FAQ will help you fine folks navigate around the site a little better.
Q: Where can I find all of your picture galleries?
A: The best way to get to our picture galleries is to click on the ‘Pictures’ category over on the right hand sidebar.
If you click on an individual thumbnail in the gallery that picture will come up on screen after a short loading time. If you wish to keep this image for sharing or printing you may right-click on it to save it to your computer. Even though what you’re seeing is a smaller version of the photo, the file that you save will have the full photo at it’s original resolution.
If you’re looking for our Flickr photostream you can go here
Q: How do I leave a comment on a post?
A: Here at trentandmandy.com we love participation from our community of friends and family! We highly encourage you to get involved with our content and the best way to do that is to leave your comments on our posts. There’s actually a couple of ways to do this. First, you can click on the title of any of our posts. This takes you to a page with only the contents of that post and at the bottom there will be the submission form to leave your comment. You can also leave us a comment by clicking on the comments indicator at the top right hand corner of the individual post. Just click that and you will be taken straight to the comments portion of that particular post. If you make a mistake/typo, don’t worry. You have five minutes to edit your post. A countdown timer will start as soon as you click ‘Submit Comment’. If you see a problem with something you wrote after that just click on the ‘Contact Us’ tab and shoot us an email, Trent or Mandy will gladly fix it for you.
Q: Okay, I left a comment – what is this little cartoon guy next to my name?
A: That little cartoon character is called a Wavatar. They are randomly generated images based on the email address that you submit when you leave a comment on our site. They will move with you so as long as you enter the same email address in the comment submission form then you will always keep the same Wavatar across our site (and across any other site on the web that has Wavatars enabled). They’re a fun way to keep track of who’s who in the conversation. If you’d like something more personal you can head over to Gravatar.com and make a Gravatar with any image you wish.
Fun Fact about Wavatars: Wavatars can generate 956,384 different shapes in 57,600 different color combinations for a total of 55,087,718,400 (55 billion) unique Wavatars.

Q: What is a Tag Cloud?
A: A tag cloud is a graphical listing of all of the keywords that our posts are tagged with. The size of the font on some keywords is bigger than others, this indicates that that particular keyword is featured in more posts than the others. In fact, if you hover with your mouse over the different keywords you will see a count of exactly how many posts that particular keyword is featured in. It’s another handy way to find content on trentandmandy.com, for instance, if you’re looking only for posts that mention or feature Remy then you could just go to the tag cloud and click on Remy’s name.
Q: How can I share an individual post with other people?
A: In addition to just copying the link from the address bar in your browser there is now an even easier way to share our content with other people. At the bottom of all of our posts are some icons for some social media sites including Facebook and Digg under the heading of ‘Share this post’. There’s also an icon there that will help you email the post to someone else. It really helps to automate the entire process of copying and pasting links and having to hop from site to site.
Q: What the heck is a Tweet?
A: A “tweet” is a quick message that is expressed on the popular social site Twitter.com. Trent and Mandy have accounts on this site and we share our latest “tweets” on the sidebar of trentandmandy.com. Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing? It’s a fun site and we encourage you to join up with Twitter if you haven’t already and follow us. Click on the blue birdie below and he’ll take you Twitter to sign up if you wish.
